 NPCには国有石油ガス会社のPTTが38%、サイアムセメントが35%を出資し、TOCにはPTTが49%、サイアムが7%出資していた。合併はPTTの方針によるもので、合併会社にはPTTが50%程度所有する見込み。

PTT Chemical Public Company Limited is a new company formed from the merger of two of the major players in Thailands petrochemical and chemical industry sectors - the National Petrochemical Public Company Limited (NPC) and Thai Olefins Public Company Limited (TOC). In line with the policy of principal shareholder, PTT, the merger puts PTT Chemical in an excellent position to take full advantage of opportunities for future growth in the olefins industry. The new company, registered on December 7, 2005, will strengthen Thailand petrochemical industry and further enhance its reputation in the
global arena.

Subsidiaries
TOC Glycol Co., Ltd.     TOC Glycol Co., Ltd. (TOCGC) is a producer of ethylene oxide (EO) and ethylene glycol (EG). The companys primary product, MEG, is an ethylene derivative and a key ingredient in the production of polyester fiber for the textile industry and clear PET bottles. TOCGC is the countrys first producer of ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol.
Thai Ethanolamines Co., Ltd. Thai Ethanolamines Co., Ltd. (TEA) for short, is a producer of ethanolamine, an essential ingredient in many personal hygiene products. Made from ethylene oxide (EO) and ammonia, (EOA) also has applications in industries ranging from paint, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics to cement, detergent, and fabric softener. TEA is Thailands first producer of ethanolamines.
Thai Choline Chloride Co., Ltd. Thai Choline Chloride Co., Ltd. (TCC) for short, produces choline chloride, an additive in chicken and pig feed made from ethylene oxide (EO), methanol, ammonia, and hydrochloric acid. TCC is the countrys first manufacturer of choline chloride.
Thai Oleochemicals Co., Ltd. Thai Oleochemicals Co., Ltd. (TOL) is a producer of:
Methyl ester, a substance added to improve diesel fuel efficiency                       
Fatty alcohol, a basic ingredient in the manufacture of many personal hygiene products                 
Glycerin, a raw material in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries         
Made from palm and palm seed oil, these organic products are safe to humans and the environment.

Affiliates

PTT Phenol Co., Ltd. PTT Phenol Co., Ltd. (PTT Phenol) is one of the Companys investments in downstream manufacturing. The factory supplies local customers with phenol and phenol by-products, substances previously available only from foreign producers. PTT Phenol also provides a sure market for the Companys own propylene.
PTT has a 40% stake, and Aromatic (Thailand), NPC and TOC with 20% each.
PTT Polyethylene Co., Ltd. PTT Polyethylene Co., Ltd. (PTTPE), a 50-50 joint venture with PTT Public Company Limited, was set up to produce olefins and downstream goods from PTT-produced ethane in response to growing local and regional demand. PTTPE has an important role in supporting the Companys investment in a new cracker, its low density polyethylene (LDPE) plant, and its linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant.

Alliance Petrochemical Investment (Singapore) Pte. Alliance Petrochemical Investment (Singapore) Pte. (API), a joint investment with Itochu and CCC, has its headquarters in Singapore. In conjunction with NPC Iran, API formed MEHR Petrochemical Company to produce up to 300,000 tons of HDPE annually in Iran.
PTT Polymer Marketing Co., Ltd. PTT Polymer Marketing Co., Ltd. (PTTPM), a joint venture between PTT Public Company Limited and Bangkok Polyethylene Public Company Limited, is a marketing agent and distributor of polymer products for the PTT Group. PTTPM is instrumental in the effective placement of polymer products in international markets and in helping to reduce sales costs and boost management effectiveness.
Thai Ethoxylate Co., Ltd. Thai Ethoxylate Co., Ltd., (TEX) for short, is a joint venture between PTT Chemical Public Company Limited and Cognis Thailand Ltd., set up to produce and sell fatty alcohol ethoxylate, a substance made from ethylene oxide (EO) and fatty alcohol, which is a key ingredient in the manufacture of various personal hygiene products. TEX is Thailands first producer of fatty alcohol ethoxylate.

BPE plant is situated in the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong, by using ethylene as the major raw material
BPE produce high-density polyethylene pellet under the trademark of Thai-zex and Hi-zex with the production capacity of 225,000 metric tons per year. BPE sell both domestically and export to over 80 countries around the world. The Products are categorized into 5 grades according to the 5 main application, which are film, injection, monofilament, pipe and blow molding. BPE is determined to be the industry leader in the production of high-density polyethylene pellet to serve the need with innovation and technology.
Vinythai Plc. Vinythai Plc., or VNT for short, is a joint venture between the Solvay Group (major investor from Belgium), the Charoen Phokphand Group and PTT Chemical Public Company Limited. VNT produces and sells PVC plastic powder, VCM chlorine and by-products such as caustic soda.

TPC

The Company was established in 1966 with the first factory located in Samut Prakan province in Thailand. The Company has gradually expanded its capacity over the years and by 1984 was listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand under the symbol "TPC". In 1987 a second factory was established in Mab Ta Phut Industrial Estate, in Rayong, Thailand which today this facility continues to serve as the flagship plant of the Company.

HMC Polymers Co. Ltd.

HMC is a joint venture company between Basell Polyolefins and a group of leading Thai companies including Bangkok Bank and Hua Kee Group. A global company, Basell Polyolefins was formed in October 2000 by the merger of the majority of the polyolefin operations of both the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies and BASF.
Bangkok Bank is a leading Thai financial institution and one of the largest banks in South East Asia.
Hua Kee is active in paper distribution, real estate development, hotels, petrochemicals and energy industries in Thailand.

  Siam Mitsui PTA Co., Ltd. - Siam Mitsui PTA Co., Ltd. was established upon cooperation of Cementhai Chemicals Co., Ltd. and Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. of Japan for producing Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) which is used as raw material supplying the pet bottle and polyester industry.
Because the Company utilizes state - of the - art and highly efficient technology of Mitsui Chemical Inc. of Japan as the production process of PTA. The process is widely accepted by most polyester producers in Asia as consitent and high quality products.
